Service Description
Screenprinting Intro at Running With Scissors Studios Print Shop 250 Anderson St, Portland, ME Instructor - Carter Shappy Saturday & Sunday 10 am - 1 pm each day Day 1 - A thorough overview of screen printing processes using photo emulsion. Introduction to various tools, equipment and materials. An overview of film production and printing. Students will coat their owns screens and produce their own films for the following class. Day 2 - Finish film production and screen coating. Overview of exposure process and “burning” screens. Overview of printing technique. Students will learn the exposure process to successfully burn their own images into screens and will print those screens onto material of their choice. Class will end with techniques on how to burn screens without facilities. Materials fee of $75 includes for each student - a 20x24" screen to keep, 18" squeegee to keep and 20x24" film. All other materials will be provided by RWS and shared. Workshop price is $300 for non-members and includes a $75 materials fee. Current RWS members receive a 10% discount off the base price plus the materials fee. Total is $270 plus $75 materials fee. RWS members receive a 10% discount off worksho fee, not the materials fee. Cancellation Policy
RWS WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations within 15 Days of the Workshop No refunds or transfers will be issued for cancellations made less than 15 days before the workshop, regardless of the reason for non-attendance. Due to limited class sizes, administrative costs involved with managing cancellations or transfers, and the instructor's preparation time we cannot allow cancellations this close to the workshop. Late Arrivals Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will may not be admitted to the workshop. Exceptions may be made at the instructor's discretion. No refunds will be provided for late arrivals. Cancellations 15 Days or More Before the Workshop A full refund less a $50 administration and processing fee will be assessed for cancellations for any reason if made 15 days or more before the Workshop. Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@rwsartstudios.com in the above time frame. Workshop Cancellation by RWS You may transfer to another date for the same workshop (subject to availability). If RWS needs to cancel a workshop we will make every effort to offer an alternative date and if that is not feasible for you, we will offer a full refund including the $50 administrative fee.
